First things first and I’m sure many of you have the same question. What Camera do I use and why?
I shoot with Canon. It’s not because I’m some sort of Canon Snob, but more of what was handed down to me. I am not opposed to Nikon or Sony and I actually think many Nikon bodies have better functionality, but I have taught myself with a Canon. The Canon 50d was my first body before saving enough funds to afford a Canon 6d full frame body. Through out the years of practice and research, I finally came across a deal too good for me to pass up. I currently shoot with a Canon 5d Mark III and haven’t looked back since.
The reason I choose the Canon 6D Camera body was because it was a full frame sensor at an affordable price point. I did a lot of research comparing the benefits of full frame over crop sensor. It was affordable at the time with the body starting just around the $1599 price point. Don’t think for a second that just because the newest Canon 6d Mark II is available for purchase, that the 6d Mark I is inferior to others. You can now pick up the Mark I for under $700 and that my friends is a steal. The only draw back I saw with this camera compare to my 5D mark III is the lack of focal points and being able to have a compact flash mirror with your SD Card. See the link below for the Canon 6d Mark I special new prices at only $1166.59!!!
